tick tock

digicamography, photoshop-

tick tock tick tock. the heartbeat of the wall mounted grandfather clock.  i lost track of how many times it chimed, reverberating in the silent living room as i spaced out. the tv flickered noiselessly; a car chase, gunfire and explosions in mime. but i know every dialogue line, every punctuation of violence, explosions, every gun drawn, every car crashed because this movie has been played to hell and back so many times.

i looked up and sighed. deja vu. the monotony of another weekend looms but only twelve chimes away…
